Another day of rain. Every drop helps as the Kaministiquia River is still way down. There were geese on the river beside the Stanley Hotel yesterday morning and then 2 families of geese on Mud lake road beside the CPR tracks.

My friend Darryl tells me that she saw 2 deer just past barrie Drive heading east about 4am on last tuesday and then on the next day at 10:15pm She just about invited a deer into her car at Vibert Road. Spooky. A few days later on highway 588 between Old Silver Mtn. Road and highway 595 she saw 2 foxes and then just past Blackie Road she saw a deer at 4:45am.

All this proves that only some of the animals and birds are on vacation. I did witness a mole hustling across 588 as well as a squirrel.

Just keep an eye out for the small creatures as well as the bigger ones.
