The early morning trip to Carman, Manitoba seemed like a good idea to me. Broke the rear view mirror off the window and misplaced my cell phone. I figured there wouln't be too much traffic on the highway. WRONG. A semi every kilometre it seemed.

saw a very large bison just past Oxdrift that seemed to be the watch dog in a truck compound. Then an elk resting in a fenced field at the sheep farm followed by a bald eagle flyinbg over the highway shortly after. 4 deer were in a clearing just past the turn off to Fort Frances. Then near Richer a bald eagle was feasting on a dead deer while about 50 ravens watched him eat.
