Boy is it ever hot. Maybe that is why all the animals are in hiding. In the low to high 90's again. Humedex is high as well.

A contact of mine from Nipigon tells me that they are getting large quanities of blue berries on the Domtar rd just 6 miles east of Nipigon. They picked 374 lbs. in just 25 minutes. wow. the saskatoons are as big as grapes this year as well.

wow has this year every gone by fast. I have written 131 blogs.

The saskatoons are ready now. Gratton Road and Townline Road along the ditches are good places to pick these succulent fruits.

Yesterday was an absolute scorcher as the mercury hit 112F or 46C as a humidex reading in 2 places 20 kms apart. The first was in Intola and then in Kakabeka Falls.

Use caution when on the back roads as the farmers are doing hay. They have wide loads and are slow moving. be careful when passing them from behind.

Saw a llama sitting in a pond this morning and a baby colt getting a suck from its' mom on Mud lake Road beside the CPR tracks. I am not seeing as many deer as I was last month.

If anyone is seeing moose, bears, or even a cougar then email me so I post it here    windwoodstudio@live.ca

finally cooled down a bit. Other than a few loons swimming in a small lake is all that I have seen. Yesterday the temperature was about 34C with humedex around 42C. Too hot for most critters to be moving about.

The storms this year have been more violent than any year I can remember in the past 5 years. The smoke from the fire west of Pickle lake drifted here this morning. be careful out there exploring the North West.

Was out for a drive about this mornig. saw a black bear crossig highway 588 ear Walli Road about 8:15am, a deer on Earl Road, ad various rabbits scurring out of my way. 2 Geese o a beaver made me look twice as I thought it was a moose with antlers in a swamp along Harestone Road.

The Whitefish River has weeds and grass growing in what was the middle of the river along highway 588. The Kam is way down as well. Does that mean that people who are on the rivers have extra property?

The thunder storm last night was a wild show. mamagedto film it for 5-10 miuntes

happy Canada Day people.

Been seeing a few deer, lots of rabbits, a blue herron around Dawson road and Mapleward lately. Seems the geese have gone into hiding. Filmed a family of loons the other evening.

The bugs are really bad. So be careful at night time as the moose and bears head for the highways to escape the bugs.

Lots of deer crossing Dawson Road between Government Road and Pauquette Road
